A number of `scenarios of use` have been produced around systems that support the transfer of learner information, including e-portfolios and PDP, produced the projects within the JISC MLEs for Lifelong Learning programme.

Scenarios describe typical uses of a system as narratives or stories. Use cases describe the major functions that a system will perform for the major actors, and also the goals that the system achieves for those actors along the way. Scenarios and use cases will help practitioners, learners, IT experts and managers understand the purpose of a system and how it benefits all stakeholders. These scenarios have been co-ordinated by the MLEs for Lifelong Learning Support Project.
